February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Wild About Love

Welcome to the February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! Thanks for hopping over from Judy Faye's blog. This month's stamp set is Wild About Love featuring the cutest little foxes you've ever seen. I couldn't help singing "What Does the Fox Say?" when I saw it. You too?

Here's the card I created:

I used a lot of new product from the Spring/Summer 2014 Idea Book: Lollydoodle Paper (X7183B), Flamingo Dots (Z1934), and Paper Fundamentals Basics Assortment (Z1939). These "oldies but goodies" were used to complete my card: Sparkle Chevron Shapes (Z1909), Black Shimmer Trim (Z1809) and Black and White Daisy Cardstock (1386 and 1385, respectively).

Now, head over to Susan Brooks' blog to see what she's created. If you get lost along the way, click here to find a complete list of hoppers.

Sparkle & Shine Kids Thank You Note

My grandmother taught me to write thank you notes. She had oodles of nieces and nephews and would send them each $10 for their birthdays. She recognized that it wasn't a huge amount, but it did show them that they were thought of by her on their special day. Well, she really thought of you on your special day if you didn't write a thank you note...in that she wouldn't send you a check the next year. I remember her wondering if they received the gift or not or impressing upon me the importance of a simple thank you.

I'm teaching my sons that important lesson from my Grammy Kogle. I admit that sometimes it takes us a few weeks to get out our thank yous, but we always send them.  Here is the card I made for my boys to send:

Since they're only nine and seven, they still need lines to write their notes. This flip open card is perfect because I was able to adhere two index cards to the inside, one from each boy. I'm so sad I forgot to get a photo with their actual notes (Dear Ant Melissa...precious!).

Thanks to my wonderful CTMH Director, Fancy Melissa, for the inspiration for this card. She gave me this sweet tag on a Christmas gift:

To make this card, I used my CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge and my favorite CTMH supplies:

  • The card base is Sparkle & Shine bulk, Auto Fill for the size, Card <b>
  • The White shape is 2 3/4" Card <Halloween>
  • The stamp is from Wintry Wishes, C1560
  • I stamped the penguin in Archival Black Ink Pad, Z888
  • To color in the stamp, I used CTMH's Exclusive Inks Markers in Slate (Light) Z2431, Ruby Z2429 and Juniper (Light) Z2403

Frosted Scrapbooking Workshop

"Oh the weather outside is frightful...." Most of the country has been in a deep freeze thanks to a Polar Vortex (who even heard of those before this week?) so this scrapbooking workshop from Close To My Heart is screaming for all of those frosted photos I know you've been taking!

The first two layouts are straight from CTMH's Workshop on the Go.

I added on the Frosted My Stickease to go with this last layout. That chevron print is my favorite so I had to showcase it!

Hope you stay "All Bundled Up" this Winter!

Cloud Nine Blog Hop

I know you're going to enjoy this special blog hop featuring the Cloud Nine Cardmaking Kit from Close To My Heart...available for just $15 (only in January with a $35 order) in honor of National Papercrafting Month.

Thanks for hopping over from the fabulous Vicki Price's Blog.

Close To My Heart offered an adorable little mini album at the end of 2013 called the Hip Pics Album. Well, guess what? It's become a permanent fixture in the CTMH arsenal and will continue to be available in the new 2014 Spring/Summer Idea Book. In honor of this gem, I've used the Cloud Nine kit pieces to decorate the Hip Pics Album. Take a look at my photo and short video on this phenomenal kit!

The Cloud Nine Cardmaking Kit comes with a D-sized stamp set featuring five practical (and cute!) stamp phrases. You'll also get: 10 cards and envelopes, a sheet of B&T, 2 sheets of cardstock, a die cut sheet and the best elements: full sized rolls of teal shimmer trim and gold polka-dot washi tape and a pack of durables triangle studs. It's a $46 value for just $15! As if the cards aren't cute enough, you can use this kit (or get two!) to make other projects, like my Hip Pics Album above.

Now, check out what Adeline Brill has cooked up for you with Cloud Nine. She also has a complete list of hoppers here on her site, in case you've gotten lost along the way.
